Examination Results & OFSTED
Ely College opened as a new academy in July 2016. We are so proud to announce that CMAT as it was then and Meridian Trust now has taken us on a transformative journey with Ofsted rating us in June 2019 as a 'Good Provider' with 'Outstanding' features.
We were reinspected in March 2025 and the feedback from the ungraded inspection team found that "the school's work may have improved significantly across all areas since the previous inspection". You have access this most recent ofsted report here.
The letter that went home to parents can also be found here.
Parent View
We routinely use the questions from the parent view survey as part of our ongoing self-evaluation. The latest survey was carried out in December 2024, and you can see a summary of the results and our responses in the slides below.

We set ourselves the challenge to be an exceptional college for an exceptional community. These results, and the way we support all students to reach these levels of progress, truly are exceptional and could not happen without the superb partnership between students, parents and carers and the staff in the college.
You can find a full breakdown of all the results at this link.
