Ely College has been designated as a Department for Education RISE Behaviour and Attendance Hub, recognising the school's exceptional performance in student attendance and positive behaviour management.
The prestigious appointment means we will work alongside schools nationally to share best practices and support improvements in attendance and behaviour systems. As a lead school, we will support the Department for Education's universal offer of training and development with specific regional support for between 30 and 40 schools in the Eastern region. This regional support will enable schools to visit Ely College on scheduled open day events, where effective practice here at the college can be shared and discussed.
We will also provide enhanced support to a small number of schools, matched to us by the Department for Education, with up to 10 days of leadership support over three terms to help identify areas for development and shape an improvement plan.
Through our RISE hub offer, we will work with schools to strengthen their culture of behaviour and attendance, and develop a long-lasting capacity to sustain improvements over time.
We believe that every student deserves to be in school, engaged in learning, and part of a positive community. We're proud to share what we've learned with colleagues across the country to help more young people achieve their potential.
