Such a fantastic 'Cold War Study Day' with our Year 11 history students yesterday! Whilst exploring the Imperial War Museum Duxford, students made connections between the museum's collection - such as a section of the Berlin Wall and the U2 spy plane - and the stories they have learnt about previously in lessons.

They also had the chance to meet, listen to, and ask questions of three Cold War veterans who served in the British Armed Forces in the late-20th century including one who flew in the very Vulcan bomber housed in the museum.

The students showed the very best of themselves with their excellent behaviour and thoughtful questions. We are very proud of them. Huge thank you to the veterans and museum staff for such a meaningful and memorable day!
