Student Careers Education and Next Steps
We are committed to ensuring careers education is embedded within the curriculum, right from the start of Year 7, and that at all stages students are encouraged to consider their future aspirations. Careers guidance is available at our Parents' Evenings and most of the local colleges visit at key times including PLEDGES and Futures Days. We have many visitors who come into school to talk about work-related learning, apprenticeships and other relevant topics. We also encourage students to look beyond the walls of the college and explore work experience opportunities.
The careers programme for 2023-24 can be found by clicking here.
For a copy of our CEIAG strategy for the year 2022-23 please click here. This will be updated in September 2023 once the evaluation of previous year's career programme has taken place.
For any questions or requests regarding CEIAG at Ely College please contact the careers leader Dr K Norton-Berry via telephone (01353667763) or by email. His email address can be found here.
One of the strengths of our careers education is our links with external agencies and those who help guide and advise us. One of these is Jonathan Tole who is our Enterprise Advisor. Here is what he has to say on our provision.
