Students who have external exams, that is GCSE or BTEC or A-levels or Science module exams (NOT mocks or internal exams), exams will take place in school whatever the weather, even if the school is closed for normal lessons unless the school website specifically states otherwise. Failure to attend exams because of the weather counts as an absence as far as the exam boards are concerned and students will not be awarded a grade/mark. Mensa, the “High IQ Society” approached us to see if we wished to test any of our able students. We decided to go ahead and 7 students out of the 12 tested were offered membership of the society. This meant that they were in the top 1-2% nationally for high IQ.
