The Working Day

The College is open most days from about 8.00am to approximately 10.00pm. The LRC is available to students from 8.00am onwards. For the majority of students the day starts with registration at 8.30am and the day ends at 3.00pm. The day is made up of five one hour lessons.

A number of activities take place during the lunchtime and after the end of the teaching day.

The exact timing of the day is as follows -

8.30am	Registration
8.40am	Lesson 1
9.40am	Movement to Lesson 2
9.45am	Lesson 2
10.45am	Break
11.05am	Lesson 3
12.05pm	Movement to Lesson 4
12.55pm	Lunch begins for Year 7 only
1.10pm	Lunch for all other years
1.40pm	Lesson 5
2.40pm	Registration/Tutorial/Assembly
3.00pm	End of School Day
3.00 - 4.30pm	Supported Study (Monday to Thursday)

Parents will note that this involves a teaching week of 25 hours, which meets DCSF recommendations.
