Gifted and Talented - Clubs & Groups

There are several clubs and activities organised by staff at Ely College for students on the Gifted and Talented list.

Triple-A Club

The Triple-A Club is a sports club that has been selected by the PE department to target students who are not only Gifted and Talented, but also show good attitude towards school and sport.
The three components for the Triple-A are:

• Attitude
• Ability
• Attainment

Being part of the Triple-A Club gives identified students opportunities to compete against other schools, and also to participate in Gifted and Talented exchanges with other schools.
So far this year, Year 7 and Year 8 students have participated in Volleyball, Table Tennis and SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) sessions with Witchford Village College. Students undertake a specific skills session for the first part of the exchange, and then move on to games.

The Triple-A Club also offers other afternoons of sport with the focus of challenging students against other high ability students, in a safe, competetive environment.
