Key Stage 4 - Years 10 and 11

Business BTEC

Why choose the BTEC in Business?

BTECs in Business are recognised and respected by employers, professional institutions and Higher Education establishments. The courses are 100% coursework spread over the 2 years and can lead to either one GCSE (the Certificate in Business), 2 GCSEs (the Extended Certificate in Business) or 4 GCSEs (the Diploma in Business) all at A*-C for those who undertake additional study.

Students will research business topics, present results in a wide variety of ways other than as written text, e.g. presentations, organising exhibitions and panel discussions. Students will apply their research, skills and knowledge to specific work-related contexts and case studies.

It is suggested that students following this course also become in engaged in business enterprise activities run by the school where students start up and run their own enterprise, either business or social enterprise related.
