The specific purpose of Art and Design within the education process is to stimulate and develop the inherent aesthetic nature in each human being.
Art is a wonderful creative outlet for children of all ages, and exposure to art in school helps children develop and express their natural creative and imaginative tendencies, as well as teaching them about the relevance of art and design in many aspects of daily life.
Art can be used to improve children's visual awareness and powers of observation, to develop a sense of aesthetic judgement, and aid in the analysis of good and bad design.
